Welcome to the State Fire Marshal's Web Site. The entire division of State Fire Marshal would like you to spend some time looking through this site for information on fire safety and various safe practices to prevent fire.

The Comprehensive Fire Safety Act of 2003 gives us a challenge, in part, to create a Fire Safe atmosphere and culture throughout our fine State. Therefore, we have created a five year work plan along with several other agencies. We intend to work along side the local fire departments in insuring the Fire Safety and Fire Prevention activities are offered to every community. Every citizen should take part in this worthwhile endeavor.

The State Fire Marshal's Office stands ready to serve on a continuing basis to help make Rhode Island the Safest State.
